Although you have had apple cider vinegar stashed in your kitchen shelves for quite some time now but you have not really had time to learn how to use it in recipes and cooking. Now is your chance to learn what you can make using apple cider vinegar as your main ingredient.

Fire Cider:

When you first read through this recipe you might just think this is crazy, but actually, it is not crazy, it is fire cider. It uses a couple of the ingredients mentioned below. In any case, once you try this drink you would not want to drink energy drinks ever again.

Apple cider vinegar 2 cups
Parsley (chopped) ½ cup
Raw Honey ¼ cup
Turmeric (diced) ¼ cup
Ginger (diced) ¼ cup
Horse-radish (diced) ½ cup
Onion (diced) ½ cup
Garlic (diced) ½ cup
Lemon (sliced) ½
Orange (sliced) 1
Habanero Chile 1
Thyme (chopped) 2 tbsp
Rosemary (chopped) 2 tbsp
Black Peppercorn 1 tsp

 

Method:

  1. Take a bowl and put all the dry ingredients in it such as the vegetables, herbs and the fruits. Give them a light toss. Then add spices in the same bowl again and toss the ingredients again. Transfer the ingredients to a jar. Fill up the jar with apple cider vinegar. Make sure you pour the vinegar over all the vegetables and fruits and there are no air bubbles left. Now place a wax paper on the jar and then put the lid on the jar. This way the jar will remain air tight. Next, shake the jar well.
  2. Unfortunately, you cannot just eat right then and there. You will have to leave the jar for 4 weeks before the fire cider is ready to be devoured. Remember to shake the jar every day.
  3. When you are done waiting your next step would be to separate the vinegar from the ingredients. You can use the ingredients as pickled vegetable and fruits. Strain out the vinegar into a separate jar, add honey and drink it whenever you would like.
